Random Hero Box #2
I have been collecting that elusive 175 Eternity Splinters since last post. Random Hero Box #1 was all luck in my mind. So, after leveling Daredevil to 30 and I got Hawkeye through the storyline and to level 24 I decided to start on Scarlet Witch. As you can see in this Midtown Manhatten Screenshot she has very good AOE powers. I think that is the most items I’ve seen drop on the screen before. Actually there’s nothing really special there besides the Eternity Splinter.
Since last time a few things have changed. For the better. Splinter drop rate has increased to a satisfying rate. I say this because before I was constantly timing them and worried that something was wrong on my end because it just felt like things were going sooooo slow on accumulating them. I mean, I would play for an hour and a half to two hours and come out with 3 eternity splinters. Needless to say I felt frustrated. But all of that frustration is gone now with the increased drop rate. I can now focus on playing and having fun. Whodathunkit!
Also, new are some items that drop as loot. Relics can now drop pretty often. Not as often as splinters but good enough for me. You can accumulate these relics and stack the like ones together to get you more powerful stats. The hard part is deciding which hero will get which of the 7 known relics out there right now. For example I used “Relic of Atlantis” with Hawkeye because it gives damage on critical hits. Someone like Deadpool (when he hits level 20) I will use the “Relic of Lemuria” which gives health when you deal damage. I think you get the point. +1 health for each relic as well. You can stack up to 1000 so, that’s pretty cool. Also new are Uniques which are super rare items that are equipped in your Gear slots that give you crazy buffs. I think you may have to be level 60 for these to drop. Nowhere close to that.
Tonight’s play session all I needed were 2 splinters to get my random hero box. I was pretty excited because this felt like a long road. Even though it has only been 23 days. What, 2 days longer than last time? Something like that. Anyway, I was preparing myself for the No Whammy Duplicate hero. I just knew that I was going to get one. Even though the odds were in my favor. 24 playable Heroes. I had 10 at the time so yeah, over 50%. that’s all I’m caring about.

Human Torch is Hero #11!!! I was a bit stunned with silence. Very happy about getting Johnny Storm.
13 more to go! Wait! last time was only 12 you say? Well they also have added Emma Frost to the game so, there ya go. Luke Cage is expected to be added by the end of this month or beginning of October. At this rate the % will be in my favor for a couple for times anyway. and by the way… I did say “no whammies” when I opened the box.
What are my plan now? Well, I plan on leveling Scarlet Witch to 30 or around there and start on a couple new heroes. I need to pick up their personal stash tabs as well. Not mentioned above but also new to the game is the ability to play any hero you own and pick up right were you left off with them. No More Time Warping. Thank Gawwwd! That was a pain. So, now I don’t have to feel stuck to a certain character. I will be different for me to change up my gameplay but I’m willing to try it out. It sounds like it would be better. Actually I would like to do another one real soon where I show off a new Costume that dropped as loot. I’ve only had one actually drop since I’ve started playing. That would be super! So, keep your fingers crossed that I get a costume for a character I actually own. 🙂
